About Hinterland Equine Assisted Learning

Hinterland Equine Assisted Learning (HEAL) is based at Upper Coomera in Queensland. The centre has horses, goats, chickens, dogs and cats as well as a wealth of Australian wildlife.

The horses live outside all year round and can choose where they spend their time, often sheltering from the sun under the olive trees.

Hilary is an EAQ Certified Facilitator and has been training facilitators in Australia for the last two years.

Hilary's interest in autism led her to develop her own skills in this area by undertaking her own professional development and gaining her Graduate Certificate in Autism Studies.

Here is one from the mother of a young person with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

"I first met Hil 8 years ago when she volunteered to work with our autistic son. She has always given generously of her time, patience and energy. She has taken the time to understand our son and change with him over the years and she is one of the few people that he feels a deep connection to. He looks forward to spending time with her. I have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who needs a little extra help or a little extra understanding.”
