EAQ offers initial training, continuing professional development and regulated, nationally-recognised qualifications for those working or wishing to work within equine assisted learning. These competence-based qualifications are relevant for facilitators, psychologists, psychotherapists, horse professionals, teachers, tutors, trainers, assessors and verifiers.
The Level 4 Certificate in Facilitating Equine Assisted Learning was launched in October 2016 and was the first of its kind for the industry. The qualification built on the success of EAQ's existing courses for facilitators especially the EAQ Horse Awareness. This inspirational and life-changing course is one of the keys to EAQ's success with facilitator training programmes. Book at place on the next Introduction Day.
All facilitator training is now available online. Resources are available to access online and live sessions are held using video calls.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) includes specialised areas such as working with those with autism spectrum conditions, substance misuse, child and adult mental health and dementia.
