About Tower House Horses
Susie Little and Jo Simpson met during training with EAQ seven years ago and decided to set up Tower House Horses together. Located in the heart of the Hampshire Downlands, Tower House Horses (THH) has a herd of five horses and ponies. Established in 2011, the centre attracts clients from all over Hampshire and as far afield as the south coast. There is the advantage of a mainline railway station within five minutes’ walk.
Tower House Horses provides equine assisted learning and personal development programmes to a wide range of communities. The centre piloted an innovative equine assisted recovery programme for those in recovery from substance misuse over five years ago, and continues to be commissioned by Hampshire County Council to offer this service to their clients. The centre also works with ex-offenders, mental health referrals, families in crisis and young people with confidence issues or challenging behaviour and offers personal development and wellbeing days to professionals including counsellors and therapists. As members of EAHAE (European Association of Horse Assisted Educators), staff are also accredited to provide team and leadership training to businesses.

“I cannot tell you how grateful I am to you and your awesome horses. Even just being in the field is incredibly therapeutic. Their individual and collective energy is so grounding but also very empowering. And then, there is you, giving support and insight, showing immense kindness and understanding without judgement or censure, guiding this amazing process.”
Emma – depression sufferer.
“In the weeks since my last session I have noticed I haven’t been thinking negatively or being self-critical. It is a monumental shift but at the same time it feels very subtle and organic. It’s so incredible that I can’t quite believe it!”
Debbie – confidence issues.
